Yong Peng is a town in Mukim Tanjung Semberong, Batu Pahat District, Johor, Malaysia. It is located about 20 kilometers from the district capital of Batu Pahat.
Yong Peng is a township that was developed by the Malaysian government in the 1970s to house tin miners who had lost their jobs due to declining global tin prices. The town was named after one of its first residents, Chinese businessman Yong Wing Cheong.
The townhouses have several schools and one public library. It has a mosque and a Buddhist temple which served as the major religious centers for residents of Yong Peng.
The town has many Hindu temples as well, but they are not served by any formal organization or management body.
