The town of Segamat is located in the Segamat district of Johor and is 95km from Johor Bahru via North-South Expressway. It's an additional 77km from the main highway, Federal Route 1.
Strategically situated between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, Segamat is a fast-growing agricultural district best known for its delicious durians. As a result, tourism is beginning to flourish due to the recent slogan that suggested people visit the region for its 'unbeatable' durian: Selamat Datang ke Segamat - Tanah Raja Buah-buahan (Malay: Welcome to Segamat - The Land of the King of Fruits).
The eponymous town has a mix of old and new cultures. A 45-minute drive away offers various hiking and swimming sites including the famous Gunung Ledang, Air Panas Waterfall, Bekok Waterfall, etc.
