The city of Johor Bahru is the capital of Johor, Malaysia. 

It is located in the southern part of Peninsular Malaysia and has a population of over 900,000 people. Johor Bahru is the state capital of Johor and it is also the country's second-largest city after Kuala Lumpur.

The city was founded in 1850 as a trading post by Temenggong Daeng Ibrahim and was known as Tanjung Puteri (Malay for "Princess' Cape"). 

The name changed to Bandar Maharani Johor ("Johor Queen's Port") in 1859 after Sultan Abu Bakar renamed the state capital from Telok Blangah to Bandar Maharani Johor. The formal name was changed to "Johor Bahru" on 31 July 1894.

Johor Bahru is a great place to live for people who are looking for a change in scenery. It has all the amenities of a big city and yet it feels like you are in the middle of a jungle and is one of the most developed cities in Malaysia with lots of opportunities and amenities available.
